Johannes Sammann joined Heinemann Asia Pacific in 2018 as Chief Operating Officer, and assumed his role as Chief Executive Officer in January 2025. He reports to Gebr. Heinemann's Chief Sales Officer.

Johannes first joined Gebr. Heinemann in 2002, as part of the Heinemann Trainee Management Programme, and since then has held various senior positions across the Heinemann network including Chief Operating Officer at Travel Retail Denmark IPS (a wholly owned subsidiary of Gebr. Heinemann), and Managing Director at Dusseldorf Airport. His most recent role before joining Heinemann Asia Pacific was Managing Director for Frankfurt Airport Retail GmbH & Co. KG, a Gebr. Heinemann joint venture with Fraport. He has over 20 years of management and operations experience in the travel retail industry.

Johannes was born in Klagenfurt, Austria and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany
